After The Flood Safety Tips

After the flood safety tips

Avoid driving through flooded areas and stagnant water. Just 6 inches of water can cause you to lose control of your vehicle.

Do not drink floods, or use it to wash dishes, brush your teeth or wash/prepare food. Drink clean, safe water.

If you are evacuated: Return to your home only after the local government has stated that it has done so.

Listen to the local government's water advice to find out if your drinking water and bath water are safe.

During the water consultation, only bottled, boiled or treated water is used for drinking, cooking, etc.

If in doubt, please discard it! Throw away any food and bottled water from/which may come into contact with the flood.

Prevent carbon monoxide (CO) poisoning. Use a generator that is at least 20 feet away from any door, window or vent. If you use a pressure washer, be sure to keep the engine outdoors and 20 feet from the window, door or vent.
